The key factor for the future of PT. Leuwijaya Utama Textile is research and development (R&D). It is through this department that we will be ready to meet the challenges of the future, by conducting various experiments and applying new techniques for the creation of innovative, new fancy items.

The principal policies for the R&D department are :
  1. strengthening the basis and exploration of the research in accordance with the company's long term vision,
  2. reinforcing and widening the development of production technology,
  3. identifying and putting into realization products with higher value and quality, and in accordance with the request of the customers.
The R&D covers the following aspects :
  1. fabric pattern construction design
  2. printing design
  3. the application of technology to create special effects to finished goods
